Neo-Delta magnets
The Neo-Delta magnet (NdFeB) is, due to its high persistence and energy density, the most powerful magnetic material available. Compared to Delta magnets (SmCo), its qualitative value, defined by the energy product, is 40% higher and its lower density 12%. In addition, the base material, more widespread, is obtained more easily. NdFeB is hard like any sintered material, however it is not as brittle as SmCo, so the risk of fracture is lower. NdFeB is not susceptible to corrosion in normal ambient air. The material has high affinity with oxygen and hydrogen. In case of high humidity, rust-like surface corrosion occurs. NdFeB magnets can receive anti-corrosion treatments adapted to the conditions of use: galvanic tinning, nickel plating, electrolytic zinc plating, nickel plating, plasma coati
