Delta magnets
'High energy' magnets are manufactured using a sintering process of alloy powders. Sintered magnets are very hard and brittle and can only be machined using diamond tools and before magnetization. A preferred orientation is applied to the magnet during manufacture. Magnetization is possible only in this preferential orientation (anisotropy). Magnetic values are not weakened by strong reverse magnetic fields. The maximum operating temperature depends on the dimensioning (L / D ratio). The Delta magnet can be used up to the temperature of liquid helium. Under normal environmental conditions, the Delta magnet can be used without additional surface protection. Samarium-Cobalt magnets can be supplied in different qualities depending on the use case.
