The power failure brake has the function of safety braking. The axle brake is mounted on a fixed part while the movable armature is mounted on the rotating shaft. The magnets create a magnetic field whose lines are closed by the armature and the poles. The magnetic field generated by the coil cancels that of the magnets and the armature is detached thanks to the leaf springs.
The “High Torque” brake with no current is used for safety braking. The axle brake is mounted on a fixed part and the movable armature is mounted on the rotating shaft. Magnets create a magnetic field whose lines are closed by the armature and the poles. The magnetic field generated by the coil thus cancels that of the magnets and the armature is detached thanks to the leaf springs.
The current release brake has the function of braking under tension. Thus, the axle brake is mounted on a fixed part and the movable armature is mounted on the rotating shaft. The magnetic field generated by the coil attracts the moving part which is released under the effect of the leaf springs at the power cut.
The power-on clutch creates a magnetic field that attracts the moving armature thus coupling the two shafts. Thus, the uncoupling is done by lack of current.
